Private Duty / Support Services
Rim Home Care & Support Services enables clients to remain in their homes among familiar surroundings, family and friends. Our caregivers provide non medical assistance to senior citizens, disabled adults, children or someone in declining health. By remaining in their own homes, seniors can retain an important sense of independence. It is also psychologically beneficial for older adults to remain in familiar surroundings. Oftentimes forcing relocation can cause seniors to feel disoriented, depressed and confused. In addition, there is a significant difference between a senior who simply needs help with personal care and one who requires medical assistance. A relatively healthy older adult who is placed in a facility with those who are much sicker or informed will feel out of place.
Remaining as safe and independent as possible can boost a senior’s overall sense of well-being. Staying in their own home is, in most cases, far more preferable (as well as less costly) than relocating to a facility.
Levels of Care:
Level 1 – Homemaker/Companion:
We help seniors stay at home for as long as possible by arranging services for them. Our homemaker companion services are designed to address convenience and safety issues in a person’s home. Services include:

Level 2 – Homemaker/ Aide
Aides also provide light housekeeping and homemaking tasks such as laundry, change bed linens, shop for food, plan and prepare meals. In addition aides help clients get out of bed, bathe, dress, and groom. May also accompany clients to doctors’ appointments or on other errands.

Level 3 – Certified Aide
In addition to the above services, follows a medically supervised plan of care. Certified Aide’s performs direct care and routine tasks under the supervision of nursing and medical staff.
Certified Aide Services include:

- Errands
- Escort to appointments
- Home safety planning and modification including bathroom safety equipment
- Assistance with Bathing
- Assistance with Grooming
- Assistance with Dressing
- Non-sterile dressing changes
- Routine catheter care
